yah, i usually use a toothpick when i do touch up. i tap the tip to flatten it.
it holds just enough paint to fill a small chip and let the paint/gravity flatten itself.

i will try just the laquer on one of my touchups i did to see how well it blends.
if it works real well, ill remove the front bumper off the G and do it for all the
tiny chips she accumulated over the decade.
