I have a question though: I dropped it off at the shop for install. And from the outside and what I can see, it looks good. However, there's a strong gas smell coming from the car. I hope this is normal and because the pipes are still new and will go away soon, and not because the shop forgot to use wrap on the lines...can anybody confirm? Thanks. |
After about a week if it's still smelling, prop it up on jacks and look at all the connections. Make sure you don't see any black soot from out-gassing. If so, possibly a blown gasket or it's not tightened all the way down. But I doubt this is the problem, you're just breaking in the new system. Like I said, give it a week and if it's still smelling as bad then, have it checked out.
