Springs stay on cars for hundreds of thousands of miles and don't have the silica metal alloy swifts have! So what is used? What I can tell you about "new" is they take time to break in. Meaning you have to wait on an alignment, wear your tires down, can't have fun after install etc etc. to me saving $50 on top of getting what I want now is 100% worth it!
