Default Expertise requested: Alignment questions

2012 stock sport, 25k on the odometer.

I'm getting new rubber this weekend and got a quote for alignment from the same shop. Youngsteads Goodyear in maple grove MN.

I got this in reply....

"Good Afternoon Nick,
I recommend coming in for an alignment check for $29.95+tax/ss to start. This is to verify if your front and rear steering & suspension components are good/tight and to see where your tires currently sit. If there are any items (ball joints, tie rods, etc.) that we find are loose, those item(s) would need to be replaced prior to alignment. If we perform the services needed and perform the alignment or if the steering/suspension checked out good and we perform an alignment, the alignment check fee would be waived. If you choose not to repair any items, there still would be the alignment check fee. "

The shop is pretty reputable in town.

Does this throw anyone off?
What should I worry about on a non tracked 25k 2012?
As a suspension novice what should I know to protect myself from unneeded "repairs"?

Thanks in advance.
