NEW UPDATE

So im putting together a canyon run with an ending at the "No Where Airfield" for Saturday the 28th. This would be an all day event and would start a little later in the day. the start is 1 hour south of Sacramento so we would Meet downtown around noon and caravan down to Manteca for a quick break at In and Out Burger in Manteca and then move onto our route.

UPDATE 6/16/14

Since this is open to the public there are a few "ground rules/requests" that I am asking/requiring with this run.
  • No Jackassery (burnouts/doughnuts in public or around the group) This kind of behavior can shut us down
  • You will not disclose the airfield location on any public medium. - Other than those that have already been there; everyone else will have to follow the group to get access to "Nowhere Airfield".
  • Drive WITHIN your means - Do not drive "in your mirrors" this is to be a fun ride not a competition - Dont want a deer to come out and cause you to roll over.
  • Move over for those trying to pass safely, and when passing, do so safely and in appropriate zones (see step one)

Suggested items to bring:
  • GMRS handheld radios (Walmart cheap 2 way radios) This way everyone can be in communication which makes for a safer fun ride
  • Small ice chest or equivalent with water etc - there are no amenities at the airstrip and the closest store is a 15min drive away
  • Spare tire (sounds dumb but...) You will find the airstrip tarmac to be coarse and eat up tires
  • GoPros or cameras with plenty of batteries
  • Fill up completely before we get to "Nowhere Airfield" as you WILL fuel starve on the strip
