i too relocated cross country spending over $5K one way on the move when i landed my first job in socal, but only a few yrs later moved back to my hometown. while there was a lot of pita, i dont consider those years a waste as i learned a lot about work and life in general.
hope you can consider this a good learning experience to prepare yourself for your future chapters in life.
