You will thank yourself, over and over. Assuming you are going square, the car becomes pretty freaking beast with some good track meat. And my RA1's were cheaper than just about any set of street tires (I got them for <$1100 shipped). Combine that with a more resilient rubber for track conditions, and you'll be a happy guy without wasting as much money.
I'm actually selling my wheel/tire setup now, asking $1800 total. A bargain for someone around here.
