No this is a a wet system. Switching jet sizes increases or decreases the amount of fuel and nitrous being sprayed into the intakes. This will increase or decrease the amount of hp/tq.
Direct port is very nice but albeit a much more expensive route due to extra time for installation/more parts.
Highway turds are not worth the gas and should be left alone Look into HP from nitrous plus check out how much torque that it produces.
$2K is about average for cost, as with anything though, if you want to spend more money, you always can

These are very basic answers. Search and read and read some more about all the safety components, dry vs wet vs direct port ect. There is a world of info out there. Some good, some bad and some outright lies.
It IS forced induction and is not something to throw on the car and hope for the best, the more you know and understand the better time you will have. Hope this helped a little bit.
