probably not, but it wont hurt to do it. i dont plan on doing mine until my car hits 30k. mine's a 09 with 14K miles....so will probably take another 4-5yrs. lol

i did my G's diff oil change last year at 31k or 32k miles. the oil was fairly clean still. so it's really up to you. and yes, it's very easy to do. just need a 10mm hex socket, ratchet, and a $5 handpump. 2 new crush washers and the oil of your choice.
