The seat base was wrong, the stitching was wrong, but they did get the seat heaters installed.
The US distributor has contacted the manufacturer in Germany. The manufacturer is taking full responsibility for the mistakes and are expediting new seats done to my specifications, then air shipping them to the US. They are expected to have the seats made in a week, and shipped out. Once in the US, the distributor will check (again) and do a photo shoot, then ship directly to me. They will cover all costs including brokerage/duties/etc, as they should. If these are not done in a timely manner, I will be getting a full refund.
Building cars is such a pain in the ***. I would have expected a better experience given the amount of money spent.
