It's a great tool. Simple cheap one for about $20 or less is more than adequate for small jobs. Plus it's good if you need to trace pins. For example my harness adapter didn't have a dimmer wire so I was able to trace it and get dimmer working for my stereo. Also I was able to trace the wire needed to power up my reverse camera. No blown fuses and I get things working on the first try.
