in fact, if your car is a hobby car only driven on weekends, i recommend you guys switch to LED's for the lower power consumption while your door(s) are open.
made a huge difference on my other car which turns on 4-5 bulbs when i open the door. my battery manager showed 'charging' when i had the door open for more than a few min using stock incandescent bulbs. with LED's the battery manager remains in float mode.
