The upgrade is $130... which is pretty much the cost of materials for the filter and the pieces to make the little hardpipes to get it in!

If you wanted the parts to reverse flow the sending unit, looking at another $100-125 in hardware and fittings (i gotta add it up, havent put that in the spread sheet yet). There is more than meets the eye to that because the hose from the sending unit to under the car is also replaced. However, if running a pump smaller than the 400/485, I am not sure if there is much point to do that to it. The -5 between the pump and sending unit hat is probably adequate.

Are you going to physically cut out the stock filter, or just bypass it?
