yah, it's a tuff balance sometimes. for me, it was hard at the beginning to let go some of the work load to my collegues cause i just cant trust them entirely. but i forced myself to accept the trade off cause my primary purpose in life is to raise my kids. if i want, i can dedicate myself to my career again once my kids are older and off on their own.
my wife works from home and only go out to her clients during the day when the kids are at school.
private daycare was expensive the first few years, but now we put them in the park district activities and clubs when my wife needs to work outside school hours.
