Today I disassembled my entire radio control panel and desoldered and rebuilt my On/Off/Volume control. A few weeks ago, the Push-Push button click died (radio would not turn on or off). So, I could get it to come on by pushing the "mode" button, but it just aggravated the h3ll out of me being broken. Well it turns out that the "clicker" for lack of a better word had to be rebuilt from another potentiometer assembly. I got it all back together and it works, thank goodness! The parts aren't an exact fit but it gets the job done. If I could I'd just buy another radio and scavenge the parts off of it, since all 4 of the potentiometers are the same anyway. Whew, it was nerve wracking getting those SMT parts off the board without damaging the part or the PCBA.
Did I mention I had to undo about 30 screws to get the PCBA off of the plastic faceplate!
