I've just been disappointed, too.
I ordered the Philips 85122 WX 6000K from
Philipsxenon and installed one bulb on the right side. I have to switch the light on/off for 6-10x before the Philips will stay lit. As if it needs to be conditioned. Once it's warmed up I can switch off/on and it won't flicker. But once cooled down again I have to repeat the 6-10x switch procedure to make it stay on
Really thought this quality bulb would work. The bulb clearly ignites . It's the stay-on condition. Maybe our ballasts are little bit low on that 85V "on-voltage" or something.
The color is absolutely amazing though.
