Yes there is, but unless this part was designed to fail so soon then it was sub-standard. That isn't hard to fathom...it was not designed to live so short of a life and so the one I had should not have failed, but it did.

Saying there is a failure rate doesn't mean anything to the person who had the part fail.

If the guy at the dealership told me what you did I'd never go back and probably wouldn't buy another Nissan. That's coming from someone who has owned three of them now.

Think about that the next time someone isn't happy when a part breaks.
