It might be, but no matter. Warranty support isn't free...it's a significant part of the manufacurer's profit margin that they need to sustain their business. Any mfgr could provide warranty support for any length time they want. The question us, how much are you willing to pay for? 5 year warranty for $2000 increase in invoice? 8 years? 10?
