yah, that was the way for me too especially on smartphones. been a bb user since 2007... but that era ended a few weeks ago when i went touchpad only company smartphone.
im okay with it as long as the screen is wide enough that i dont accidentally hit the adjacent key in portrait mode.

yah, that was some of the reviews i read. im fine with a mouse/trackball, or trackpad. im not good with the pointer.
