Not sure if all that is what you're describing...
Just noticed you are in Wisconsin....it's cold up there....my winter beater Cavalier has a "creaky" clutch pedal as well, only when it's pretty darn cold out. It goes away when the car interior is warm.

I took it to a mechanic today and he tried greasing it up like I did..still has the noise. He said I would have to come back when they would have some more time to mess with it. Tried getting into the Nissan dealer today but they are booked. Also, the creaking seems to go away when I remove the helper spring..which leads me to believe it isn't an issue to worry about besides it being annoying
. If I press the clutch in slow enough, I can feel the clicking/creak as well as hear it.
