You got a great deal on your 370z trade in (dirty carfax, they will most likely have to sell at auction, no enthutiast will ever buy a Z with a dirty carfax unless its free or 10$)

However..............
The price on the jeep is okay at best, but it does have 70k miles, when it hits 100k miles expect a pretty significant depreciation hit (psychologically, a car with 100k miles will have be a hard sell... unless its a rare ferrari or nsx)

Overall I'd say the dealer still made money from you.. how much? hard to say, but usually dealers make most money on used cars, i'd say they low balled the original jeep owner pretty hard and made at least 20-30% flipping it to you, now they are going to flip the 370z for another good profit (at least 10-15%)

remember... the house always wins - they are in it for the money, no manager will give away cash - they made money of this trade, only the dealer knows how much. I'd say they made at least 5-6k from this flip
They had to put new tires on my 370z and I doubt they got away with that and an alignment for under a grand. They sold me the jeep below retail and gave me (on paper) 25.5k for the 370z. They are asking 30k for it. So yeah, they may make some on it, but the only way they are going to show serious profit is if they low balled on the jeep owner.

I did look at trade. The jeep has already lost about all of its value and hit it's floor until I reach 100k. Even jeeps 2-3 years older are only going for $2-3k less.

Re: hostility here. Who cares? None of these people would give me grief in person and I don't care about their Internet antics any more than they should care about mine. I've read their billion page posts about bad transmissions and slamming into poles with vdc off and how their oil temps send them into limp mode after 2 laps. The people here whine and butch as much as I do. The only difference is that I am not a Z owner anymore, thankfully. But really, my friends dodge truck depreciated similar to the Z cars I see on auto trader. They don't hold their value any better than any other vehicle. I'm just in something I prefer. Not really worried about the haters who whine about my whining, lol
