I can show you that ^ isnt true.. I live up a pretty good incline which has a few sweeping high speed turns that I take on dry conditions close to about 80 (she can go a lot faster but.... lotsa cops)...

One day it was POURING hard... got cut off by a charger who lost traction lane changing... I slam on my brakes to slow down to avoid rear ending him... INSTANTLY my rear slides out... And although VDC kicked in as I was mid corner - the rear threw itself out w/ the traction light blinking. If not for my reflex time which I spent countersteering I would have been in a ditch upside down. DO NOT EXPECT VDC to save you in the rain. All I am saying is... If you drive the same way you do when its dry when its wet - VDC on or off you will pay for it...
