It all comes with the territory of any boosted ride. It is part of the deal. This is why I cringe when some want to go forced induction on a "budget"...its a NA car at its core, plan accordingly. I think it should be in everyone's budget who goes this route to begin a built engine plan, slowly yet surely, or just throw the money to the side, nothing lasts forever, and it surely won't last longer doing this.
My plan is simple. mess around for a year at it's power levels, throw it into high boost after the year. Just see how long this engine can survive a 630/550+ beating while my built block is waiting.
So far so good tho, I have treated it like it owes me money and it has been up to task. My goal was to eliminate any and all weak-points I could, without cracking the block open. I will be one of the few where if it pops, it won't be because of poor install, poor tune or poor equipment. Worst case scenario, bad fuel or random circumstance, best case scenario, I exceeded the stock block limit.
I would never expect the block to last 200k, but I do expect it to exceed 20-40k, anything past that is just icing on the cake.
