from my experience, 5mm is the max i use on aftermarket wheels that are lug-centric with no problems. steel lugs only (muteki makes great steel lugs) and using 80-85ft/lbs.

ive read 10mm of thread is required which is usually 6-8 turns depending on the pitch of the thread. use this info at your own risk.

never use 5mm spacers on factory wheels since they are hubcentric. the spacer pushes the wheel outward off the hub.
