Delrin UCA bushing installed (Top Element)
Hey guys I finally received my delrin replacement bushings for the oem UCA from Top Element. So finally had a chance to get them installed and get a little drive time to give my input on them.
HANDLING: There wasn't a major change in that aspect, however I did notice how freely the suspension travels. These coupled with the SPL lower arm bushings is a good combo IMO. The oem rubber bushings were really mushy and these delrin replacements have almost no flex, but not to the point were there considered a solid bushing.
FITMENT/QUALITY: The fitment and quality of these bushings was excellent. They slid right in place with a little assistance from a rubber mallet. The oems were pressed out with a press and I didn't think it was necessary to reinstall the new ones with the assistance of the press again.
NVH: I didn't notice any increase in NVH with these alone. Hard to tell though since the SPL lower arm bushings added quite a bit of NVH. So I can't exactly single out how much the UCA bushings added. I'd imagine hardly any do to the bushings being so small.
Thoughts/Impressions: Overall I'm happy with this mod and I'd do it again forsure. I chose to go this method cause my car not actually needing a front camber kit. I have no real intentions on lowering the car anymore so this mod suited what I was looking for perfectly. The rubber bushing in the oem uca is a real weak link so much slop. Other option I was considering was the SPL front camber arms but these suited my needs better and the price was definitely nice. The SPL ones are topnotch forsure.
Now onto some photos, hope this review was somewhat helpful for someone considering this mod.
