They immediately emailed me back and said they would as they had 25+ 370z's left. So, I told them I would be up there in the morning.
When I got there on Saturday morning the salesperson who emailed me handed me the keys and said "I'll be inside if you need me". Now I do not like pushy salesman, but I figure if you're trying to sell a $30k car it might be nice to spend more than 60 seconds with a customer who is willing to buy on the spot, maybe offer a test drive?? The dealership was basically empty, he just went in to sit down.
I proceed to check out the car and notice the front has already been scraped underneath (not a huge deal I guess) and that there are also substantial scruffs and one 8" or so scratch in the paint on the lower right front of the car. I bring it to the salesman's attention and he says "they're all like that". He says they will fix it for me. Wonderful.
Knowing this is the 1 of 2 cars in the Bay Area with this color/option combo I decide to go for it anyway. He tells me the price is $1700 more than what he quoted in email. I reference his email (it's on my phone) and he says that's not what he meant. We go back and forth and he keeps telling me he cannot discount a car with a lower MSRP than the Premier car at the same $5000 off. The MSRP difference is about $1000 between the two cars. He keeps talking in circles and will not acknowledge the fact that I have his word for word quote on my phone. He says things in email get "misinterpreted". Huh???
I go on to tell him that someone on this forum just bought the same MSRP car from Premier for $5000 off. He tells me that is impossible and that the person on the forum is not telling the truth. I tell him that's ridiculous and there's no reason for someone on the forum to lie about what they paid for their own car. He still denies it, saying they are the "Z experts in the area" because they have no many cars and it's just impossible. Then another salesman comes over and they start tag teaming me. I tell them, what if I was able to get proof that the person on the forum got $5000 off on a similarly priced car, would you then sell it to me at the same discount. They both start yapping about the proof would be forged or something. At this point they are getting really confrontational and I get up and leave.
When I got home and was thinking more clearly, I figured out the math on what the discount would be based off their "pro-rated" discount theory. It was a $270 difference, meaning $4730 would be the exact discount based off their argument with me. I emailed them those figures and of course I never heard back as they were once again caught trying to pull a scam. All is good in the end, Premier just jumped through a lot of hoops to bring me in the same car from SoCal. Although I couldn't get the same discount, being it is a long distance dealer transfer, I was happy to pay the same price as North Bay was offering and not have to deal with the extremely rude slimy salespeople there. Not to mention, I won't have a scratched up car!
Premier has been nothing short of amazing through this whole ordeal. I would highly recommend them if you are buying in the Bay Area.

I purchased my vehicle at Premier, and they did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them. I dealt directly with Rick Beal (Internet Fleet Manager). He quoted me a price and when I came in to purchase the vehicle, the price was actually lower than the quoted price. Woohoo!
