You don't
NEED to purchase OEM tires. For normal street driving, the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are highly recommended. I like the wet performance of my Nitto Invos, and I know the Continental DWs are good as well. The Bridgestone S04 are an excellent buy, too.
I also went up in size. I have 255 in front and 305 in back right now. Next set I'm probably going to go with 265 or 275 in front and 295 in back.
Tire Rack is an excellent choice for purchasing tires at great prices. There is a link on the forum home page that you should use to purchase through. They don't sell Nittos though, so I usually get mine through Discount Tire or NTB and make them price match any cheap online retailer I can find.
