It sounds like the condo system uses a different protocol/frequency/&c than whatever Homelink "understands." If you can change the receiver on the condo system to something that Homelink can talk to the interference problem should disappear (plus you won't have to lug around the extra fob).

Ofc, if you are the only one in your condos that is experiencing the problem, it might be difficult to convince your fellow residents to spend the money for the change.
