Summer tires are made to work in the rain/wet, otherwise there will be a warning label telling you "DRIVE IN THE WET AT YOUR OWN RISK"...they're just not made to handle extreme performance in the rain, in other words, don't drive your car to the limit...I've driven my Z, and many "high performance summer tires" in the rain at high speed, they will not slip or be deemed "dangerous" as long as you drive with caution like you should in the rain...don't try to "pop a wheelie", or drift through sharp curves and you'll be fine...
