The manufacturer has altered the function of the brake-light operation. It no longer functions exactly as the text states, and video shows, below. Now, when the light is wired so that it flashes when the brake is applied, it will only flash for 3 seconds of braking. When you hold the brake pedal down for longer than 3 seconds, it will change to a continuous (non-flashing/solid) brake light. Ahhh it appears they have switched things up. Post a picture of the leads on your third brake light and I will walk you through it..
