Default How I compared/normalized used 370Z when I shopped, hope this is helpful to you

Just wanted to share this ...

After getting the mileage/asking price/options from cars.com, autotrader.com, craigslist, I
put them down in a spreadsheet. But
it is hard to see which one is a better deal without some index.
So I just assumed I would keep the car until 160k miles (my last car had 173k, and
the previous car had 195k), and used the cost per mile as an index

Below is the spreadsheet I used. Last column is this index.
e.g. the 2011 silver one with no options at all had 0.219, no brainer, not going to pick it.
e.g. the 2012 white one with 9123 miles has the lowest index, but I would not pay $25099 for it
because a loaded 2011 with only 6000 more miles is a better value.

I hope this will be helpful to you.
