I must have read that wrong. There's no final numbers and several people in that thread are pointing out that 3" may not be ideal. Do the math. Look at the link I posted. Look at the right hand column in that chart attached to it. Double the area of the 2.5" and then subtract the area of the 3" pipe. That's the reduction in area of the single 3". In order for your project to work as planned, you should really run a 3.5".

It's your car, but get a baseline on a dyno beforehand with the hfcs already installed. That way it'll be easy to see if you've improved things or made them worse.
