back in those days though a dollar was actually worth something! now everything has inflated so much the wages just cannot keep up, thus making us all poorer
if you look at the cost of things (like cars or homes) vs the wage and take the same variables from 50 years ago you can see how we are all actually making less/hour then back in those days
