Nissan did actually put thought into their layout but it lacked the cool factor. I realized both the matte grey Juke and GTR were roped off probably because the paint would look hideous with everyone touching them.
There were two Leafs (including one on a raised platform?) - Those were almost the highlight of the display, likely to continue to encourage the strong sales that they had last year.
Since Z sales weren't as robust - our favorite model got out on the floor with no protection while guys waited in line to crawl in and out of it - which for some reason reminded me of girl I knew in high school. We called her "joint" - Kudos to you if you get why. ha ha
I suppose the thinking from Nissan is along the lines of - Having potential customers interact with the car will increase conversions for sales.
The non-Nismo GTR was also out in the open but I believe the doors were locked. People just molested the exterior.
Man - being a car guy at one of these things was tough. I had to stop myself from "correcting" people when I heard someone say "yes it has 370hp - that's why its called that." I also really wanted to wipe the fingerprints from the car. Guess they will have to get their own to see things through our eyes. ha ha.
