its too sensitive where it's located on the wall. ive even added a box over the thermostat to isolate it a little and to give some air insulation to keep it from over reacting.

Our old thermostat couldn't even program a separate weekend schedule
The Nest is nice, but it doesn't solve the underlying problem of a poorly designed system. We have a two story house but the stairs are open to the living room. The upstairs is generally scalding and the downstairs is typically freezing
I'm not sure we plan to live there long enough to justify ripping it out for a whole new dual zone system with separate upstairs and downstairs supply. I am, however, beginning to consider putting some dampers in the existing ducts to better control the airflow. The poor access to the ducts will probably make that an expensive endeavor, unfortunately.
