Thanks for the advice, but I'm no stranger to plugging high performance tires on sports cars. Do a search for vulcanizing tire plugs. You'd be surprised with how it's becoming the preferred method for tire repair. A vulcanizing plug just isn't a piece of rubber shoved into the tire. It mends itself to the tire. The one perk to a vulcanizing plug over a patch, is that it keeps moisture from getting to the belt/chord.
