I'm on a couple of car fora and have been an enthusiast of a number of models (Mustang, 4Runner, JK, Xterra, Tundra). Z owners have been the most affable and helpful and are usually easily approachable. I haven't experienced what you have; really a bit of the opposite. I'm not sure if your experience is an anomaly or mine.

Jeep guys have the well known "jeep wave", but it is still a pretty nutty crowd (and it's often not the good kind of nutty). I sort of think of many of my jeep buddies as what would result if Wayne La Pierre humped a really talented mechanic in the butt.
