Default Summit Racing Vacuum Canister

If you track your car, you've heard of the dreaded "ice mode" that happens with the braking system on the 370Z. Most don't have this problem at first, but once it starts happening, it's a quick downhill slope. Installing a vacuum canister is one way to prevent ice mode from starting to rear it's ugly head.

Our VQ37VHR engine uses vacuum to help operate the VVEL system, as does our ABS system. When on the track in high RPM and using hard brakes, the system can run out of vacuum reserve theoretically triggering ABS ice mode. This vacuum reserve canister basically stores extra vacuum supply so this doesn't happen. It will not make ice mode impossible, but the theory is that it will help you avoid getting into ABS a little easier thus prolonging the process. If you already have consistent ice mode problems, this will not help unfortunately.

I am selling my vacuum canister and around 15' of expensive brand new power brake hose. This should be more than enough to mount the canister almost anywhere. This is not a part specifically made for the 370Z so you'll have to figure out where to mount it. As you can see from my photo, I had it mounted in front of the passenger tire for the short period of time it was on my Z.
