Standard race-prep is to reinforce firewall, OEM's never put enough metal behind pedal mounts.

Remember, most pedal ratio's are 6 or 7 to 1, and even ancient old f4rts like me can manage to leg-press 75-90kg, so Mr Nissan designers need to engineer the firewall to cope with 600kg+ load on the firewall - I don't think so ....

Another simple example of purchasing a road-car and expecting it to survive track duty - not going to happen IMHO.

Only Porsche and some track-specific models from other OEM's will have the proper level of bracing in the firewall to support the pedal box.

I don;t even think about bitching over Nissan's omission - it is a road car and the firewall is plenty strong enough for a roadie - just another cost for the track-day junkie or road-racer to bear.
