Z Vandalized, any good body shops in the GTA?
- the rear/front bumper scratched and dented
- hood scratched from broken glass that was on the car (broken oven glass thats in the garage in front of my Z)
- trunk wont close due to the rear bumper being damaged, and im not sure if the trunk is bent that it wont close or if its because of the rear bumper dented, stock alarm did not go off, and when you press lock on your key fob the horn sounds each time you press lock, but it does not sound, only sounds when you press the horn on the steering wheel itself,
- and the gas cap does not open until you press lock and unlock on your key fob 30 times. i cant see what else has scratches on it because its too cold to wash the car outside which i normally do, and i cant use the car wash because water will come through.
im not sure if there is any other type of damage behind the rear bumper, they will have to take it off. or anymore scratches or engine.
i read the thread from the (smashed z) and a comment "ire" made that they also had problems, pm'd them, but yet to receive a reply, but until then, does anyone know a body shop around the gta, that they actually had work done on there Z. i would really Love to know and get feed back on their Zs, bc the blue convertible was waaaaaaay worse than me, or atleast it looks it.
i know theres a place called grand touring on dupont near ossington, they sell lambos, ferraris, roll royce, bughattis, if they do work on those expensive cars, and im sure they take super care and precautions with them, they can surely handle a Z, right?
but my insurance said they have places they recommend, and if i go to those ones, the work will be guaranteed for as long as i own the car, ive seen one of the places they spoke of, which is across one of my work locations, and ive seen them park cars on the street, as there lot can only hold 10 or so cars, and ive seen them lay down new bumpers on the concrete floor with nothing underneath...............
my adjusters english could be better, as she did not answer me when i asked if the work that is being guaranteed also includes the paint to match my vehicle, bc im scared that if it doesnt match, and the body shop disagrees and says it does, than what.. than she said its upto the appraiser to decide... so how is that a guarantee for me if im not satisfied..? and wont the insurance company be on the bodyshops side, bc if i ask them to redue the paint, not only will they be pissed, maybe? but wont the insurance have to double pay them? and if that is the case, then the appraiser may side with them..
i also called the body shop that is contracted by avenue nissan and spoke to the owner who seemed pretty rude.. i know shops dont usually allow the car owner to sit there and watch the work being done, but another nissan told me that there bodyshop that is also contracted out has a small viewing area, not sure how good of a view, but idk about there reputation, theres little or good and REALLY bad reviews for certain bodyshops...
i also asked the rude one, that i wanted to place a camera in my car as ive heard horror stories and that would make me feel comfortable, he said we cant have you baby sit the car, and well have to unplug it, i said it was wireless, and he said well then idc, not sure if he meant thats fine or not?
beefing up security, so it doesnt happen again, if it does, he will have to go through a few dogs, multiple hidden wireless cameras with a direct feed to private security and police, a gun, (ok, maybe not), sensor with alarm on a new garage door, light that will shine up the entire yard as well as one inside the garage, and idk if i will get a transparent, polycarbonate garage door, that way everything will be seen, even though there will be a light a camera inside as well. and of course an aftermarket alarm like i had on my 350z.
i actually lost weight, cant eat, cant sleep, and im a mental mess.. i love this car as much as my old 350z
