Thanks Andew, that's a great place to start. Do you have another vehicle of reference for that size? Just if I go looking at a dealer I can try to compare the 2.

Well if it is, I'm out of luck. adapter for the M12 siz I'm looking for is M12 x P1.5x 15L. looks like I'm going to just drill it out & use something like this
