You don't need custom valving if you buy the OTS swifts and konis. I am referring to if you want to get into dedicated track rat rates, ie: 15k and up.
The nice thing about Koni is that service is done here in the USA IIRC and you tell them what rates you are going to jump up to and then they will revalve them. Much cheaper than having to buy another whole set of shocks tp go with new high spring rate springs.
Also IIRC the reason why I haven't seen anyone on here really run the Konis is that they require you to scavenge the spring perch off your factory shock since they don't come with them. More than likely the dame reason why Ground control hasn't made a sleeved spring and collar setup for the 370z.
