Update: the threads on my screw on end-cap are not quite airtight. I had to pump it up now and then (once a month maybe?) on rebuild, I abandoned the idea of the leaky screwcap (which was there to make TPMS battery/componenet replacement a possibility when they eventually run out)
If I were to do it again I'd use a simpler "two endcaps glued together" design or possibly just an airtight metal pipe. When pressurized, the system works great.
