My first step is putting some all-seasons on her: at first I figured I'd cross my fingers and try to get through winter with the OEM tires -- I told my boss that I'd probably need to work from home when it snows -- but after two consecutive mornings of driving on boulders I have realized the error of my ways. I've ordered a set of Goodyear Eagle F1s: they should be in on Friday/Saturday, and I'm hoping to get them installed as soon as they're delivered.
I hate discarding tires when they still have plenty of tread life (I have no garage and zero storage space, so keeping them isn't an option), but more than that I'd hate to not be able to brake in an emergency and/or cause an accident. And I'd really rather not be housebound just because of some snow.
