Congrats on the Stillen SC'r... I have a little over 30K mi. with the SCr' kit on mine (it was my DD for 3 years - and now I'm about to get serious with it)

Here are a few heads up for you ...

1) Keep an eye on the underside of the hood for evidence of Belt Spray ... If you find it get the car in to the shop pronto.
You may have a loose Idler pulley or ??? something else
The Stillen kit does have a very small diameter Idler Pulley that failed on me.

2) Tolerances are tight under the hood ... the Wiring Harness' need to be bullet proofed so no flex or movement ... especially near the belts.

3) You will in time need to re-synchronize the Throttle Bodies...important.
With them out of sync the car can be wildly intermittent and erratic - this may explain some of your initial throttle/power problems.

4) Say good bye to your OEM clutch - it won't handle the added power, especially if you like to accelerate hard.
OS Giken makes a nice (dampened) twin disc clutch that grabs good and also feels good. I've gone through 2 ACT single disc clutches (purchased thru Stillen)...

5) You will need an LSD (either OEM or aftermarket if your Z isn't so equipped) to keep power to both rear wheels under hard acceleration.

6) Addressing Traction Issues will be your next happy project !

7) The SC'r is actually good on gas - until you plant your foot properly that is!

Exhaust ? Sound is a matter of preference ... inside the car sounds different than outside of the car... video clips on YouTube? - ehhhhh.

I have the HKS Ti (H) with PPI long tube headers (cat delete) ... acceptably tame until about 3000 rpm...good for driving around in front of the PO-Lice and neighbors but then starts to make itself known when you want it too ... more important though is that it keeps the balance of back pressure needed.

I would have preferred a deeper rumbling sound aka 8 cyl, but: the 3.7 exhaust is controlled by VVEL technology and is Japanese efficient.
It has a certain inherent sound ... smooth but boring - it still is a high revving 6 cyl.

Please let me know what you dyno at ...

Enjoy the Power

Bob
