These sorts of statistics tell us at least a little something about vehicle safety (or allude to things to consider), though some thought needs to go into teasing it out. As far as demographics, locations, weather, some of that could be pulled out in a multiple regression analysis or some other method, but THESE data can tell us something and that something might be very useful. At a minimum, they are a stepping stone to further analysis.

Access to data are important to the consumer and I find the sorts of reports that IHS and other groups put together interesting.
