Stiffer tires will be ok, I and running BFG SC-2 in the rear now, they are not as sticky as the PSS but the sidewalls are way stiffer, I would feel OK with 265s in the front with the BFG, which I currently still have the PSS in the front, which I will throw away in the spring unless someone local wants them, that's how much I despise that tire.(yes I know BFG is owned my MIC) Next set after the BFGs hands down will be RE-11s with 265/f 285/r. Unless its for looks wider is only need for more power in the rear, I still want to have a little fun, don't completely lock down the rear

Joe, sorry about your PSS experience. I enjoyed them on my Mustang. Never had them on the Z. I hear the S-04 is a lot stiffer so I'm interested in seeing how they behave.
I love my PSS's on my Z.
