It was whining a bit while engaged. I had a friend that worked at Nissan so he had the car inspected top to bottom by the techs and told me it would be best to replace the tranny since it was probably the beginning stages of synchro problems. He said it wasnt the first 370z he had seen with the same issue and as we know from a few cases here on the boards, it wasn't all that uncommon.
Either way, its fully replaced and the new one is trouble free. Regardless, the car is completely covered until 75k miles or 2015 for all mechanical issues.
