I got everything wired up and installed today! The biggest surprise was after talking to Axxess and them telling me to switch the wires (pins 5,11 on the ASWC harness to pins 6,16 on the car harness as stated in the manual to pins 5,11 to 16,6. We had already tapped the wires from the ASWC to the vehicle harness so we decided to cut both wires from the ASWC to the car harness and butt solder the blue/gray to the red/gray wires and vice versa)
I was able to auto program the buttons. They all work and I just used the auto program method! I have a non-Bose Z so maybe that's the diff.
In regards to the e brake bypass, everything I read about that with the Kenwood HU is that you just ground the green wire to the chassis which I did...I'll go for a drive tonight to see if there's any issue and update back here.
Here's a picture of my buddy, we just peeled off wiring insulation on the vehicle's harness to tap the ASWC wires in.
