The MM&FF article is pretty good. Looks like they changed a ton with the suspension aside from just the new integral link rear suspension. The front was completely redesigned with a double ball joint spindle and two control links like on higher end MacPherson strut cars ala M3, 911.
The chief engineer named the 911 and M3 as benchmarks. The 911 is probably a stretch but I can imagine this being much better to drive than the E92 considering how well the 2011-2014 does against it.
They did say that the V8 GT is faster than the current Boss 302 around a track, so that's quite impressive.
